Oh my.... Where has the time gone?

It may seem like I have dropped off the face of the Earth, but I'm still here! We started back to school on August 13th and I have been trying to get settled in and learn all about my new kiddo's for the first couple of weeks. In addition to all the added craziness that is back to school, I have been without an assitant teacher in my Pre-k room during the most critical time of the year! Thankfully, I have a fantastic bunch of new kiddo's that make each day new and exciting in my crazy classroom! My new assistant starts on Tuesday (WOOHOO!) so hopefully things will settle down a little.

I have been working on lots of new things to post for my theme this year (Owls), as well as lesson ideas and activties for my TPT store. I promise to post more in the coming weeks for y'all!

Everyone enjoy Labor Day and be on the lookout for more from me soon!

If you've made it all the way to the end, here's a FREEBIE for you to use in your classroom! These are label that I created to label my baskets and shelves! This is a large file- 39 pages- so it may take time to load! Enjoy!

Pinterest is making me crafty.....

I'm sure by now you've all heard of Pinterest. (if not- You must be living under a rock!) I too have been bitten by the Pinterest bug and thought I'd share some of my summer projects for my classroom.

Isn't this birthday balloon wreath adorable? I plan to (attempt to) make one of these to hang on my door for student birthdays. This idea comes from www.howdoesshe.com

Another great Pinterest find I plan on attempting to make this summer are these adorable pom-pom flowers made from tissue paper! I am planning on hanging them from the ceiling in my room to match my theme (be on the lookout for more about that later!)
This site has a great tutorial-

And of course I have to make these adorable storage containers! I'm pretty sure these have been pinned a million times!

Here is the link for the Teacher Toolbox!

Here is the link for the crate seats- great tutorial!

This teacher blog has a great video with information on how to best make your template and whether Mod Podge is better than tape!

Well, I hope to be able to get into my classroom in the next couple of weeks. Since my center underwent a ton of remodeling, I am anticipating a ton of work to be needed to get my room ready for the first day of school! In the meantime, I will be working on these ideas in addition to a million others! If you have worked on creating any of these things for your classroom, please leave me a comment and share any tips or tricks!

Diving in....

Welcome to my blog! After spending hours upon hours reading other teacher's blogs, I finally "bit the bullet" and decided to start my own blog. I hope this blog can be a resource to other teachers, as well as a way for me to keep a "digital memory" of my experiences and adventures in teaching!

Won't you please join me on my journey?
